Relevant work experience
In Togo, Bill gained a lot of experience. He worked there for the country's president, for instance. And then things really had to be impeccable!
Experience in:
- managing a large team of workmen
- painting
- carpentry
- plastering
- bricklaying
In the Netherlands (and France), he learned a lot, e.g. how to lay a floor and that we like "opgeruimd staat netjes" – The Dutch like things well organized and clean, and that everthing looks best when neatly stored away where it belongs.
Many odd jobs and collaborations with contractors later, he meets Dutch standards.

An expat from Togo in the Netherlands
Bill is from Lomé, Togo and has lived in Amsterdam since 2024. He studied (automotive) engineering.
From 2010, Bill has been working as a foreman, work planner and all-round handyman:
- from sanding to painting
- carpentry: making furniture, widening window sills, laying floors
- cleaning, lugging and demolishing
Bill also has green fingers, experience in agriculture and on teak plantations.

Bill prefers to work in Amsterdam/Randstad region. He also often comes to the Nijmegen area. In consultation, jobs there are also possible. We work on an hourly basis at a competitive rate. Outside Amsterdam, we charge € 0.23/km travel costs.
